The Oxford Police Department has become a popular stop for YouTube viewers as its participation in a docuseries on the streaming service has reached more than 500,000 viewers.
Filmed and produced by German filmmakers Ben Rambuam and Eric Nosty last summer, the “U.S. Cops” series’ second season began airing last November featuring a behind-the-scenes look at both the OPD and the Nye County, Nevada Sheriff’s Department.
The OPD is featured in more than half of the 25 episodes now streaming, with one of the Oxford episodes drawing 276,000 views – the most so far of the season.
The videos average 30 minutes each and show how Oxford police officers find themselves helping people who are just having a bad day or dealing with people who might be looking to cause a bad day.
New videos are posted twice weekly and can be found at www.youtube.com/@FIRST_RESPONDERS.
