Mike Henderson serves as the Place 3 Council Member for the City of Oxford. He is employed with Farmers & Merchants Bank in Oxford, where he serves as the city president. Henderson has served on the council from 2000-2008 and from 2012 to the present. Since his time in office, he believes that the greatest accomplishment serving the citizens of Oxford has been facilities improvements and construction of the Oxford Exchange. Henderson believes that issues that are important to Oxford are infrastructure improvements, financial stability, economic growth, and continued funding of city services for the citizens.  

Henderson is a 1975 graduate from Oxford High School. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Jacksonville State University.  

Henderson has been involved in many civic and non-profit organizations over the years including Oxford Kiwanis Club, Oxford Quarterback club, and the Calhoun County Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors. He served as the first city council president. Henderson is the husband to Cynthia, and father to Laura and Matthew. He is a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
