Cheaha Cheer & Tumble, which has produced the winningest program in the Northeast Alabama area, opened its new training facility on Thursday, July 25.

The new 18,00-square foot training facility is located at 141 Supply Room Road.

Cheaha Cheer & Tumble serves students ages 18 months and up, including all skill levels, and provides students with a strong knowledge of fundamental skills, allowing them to move forward in the sports of cheerleading and tumbling safely and correctly.

Allie Mitchell, owner, thanked all those who have supported the program founded by her and her late husband, John, in 2012.

“It was a very long process to end up here, and we had a lot of wonderful individuals who helped make this happen,” Mitchell said. “We can now spread out and not be tumbling all over each other. This is a better place where we can better serve our customers and love on our kids.”

“This beautiful place will serve the kids in our area for many, many years to come,” said Calhoun County Commission Chairman Danny Shears.

“I know this team because I have a daughter here on Sunday afternoons,” said Calhoun County Economic Development Council Don Hopper. “This place is more than just winning the trophies. It’s the confidence these kids learn here and the love they get.”

“I never visualized what you and John had in mind,” said Mayor Alton Craft. “You had a vision and made the area better than it was. I do thank you for loving the kids the way you and your staff do.”

Cheaha Cheer & Tumble’s office hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Fridays from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

They can be reached by phone at 256-499-4785 and the website at cheahacheerandtumble.com.
