Culver’s, the restaurant chain best known for Butter Burgers and frozen custard, opened its Oxford location at 3 Recreation Drive on Monday, July 29.
Oxford becomes the tenth Culver’s located in Alabama, with both local officials and potential customers anxiously awaiting the opening since it was announced in Feb. 2023.
A line had already formed more than an hour before the opening, with customers anticipating being among the first to sample Culver’s menu, which offers a wide variety of items, including chicken, seafood, fish, vegetarian dishes, and salads—all available to take home or to eat at either the outdoor patio or spacious indoor dining area.
City officials also count Culver’s opening as one of the major steps in revitalizing the area located at Exit 185.
Owner/Operator Aaron Gramza said he and his family were excited to become a part of Oxford.
“We are so happy planting our roots here in Oxford,” Gramza said. “We couldn’t have picked a better spot to open.”
“People have been waiting for this for a long time,” said Mayor Alton Craft. We appreciate your investment in this part of Oxford and your help making it grow.”
Culver’s of Oxford is open daily from 10:30 a.m. until midnight. Online orders can be made at the website culvers.com. Drive-through service is also available.
