Historic Main Street Oxford held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 21, for Downtown Beauty Co., the latest in a long line of businesses to choose downtown Oxford as their home.

Located at 17 W. Choccolocco Street, the hair and nail salon is owned by Kim Powers and Zoe Montez.

“We love it here,” said Powers. “We like being downtown and are very thankful and grateful for all the support we have had. We feel very welcome.”

“We are excited to welcome another business to our downtown district and our downtown community,” said Historic Main Street Oxford director Hunter Gentry.

“We are happy to have you here,” said Mayor Alton Craft. “It’s always a blessing to have a new business open here. I think you are going to be very successful here. Main Street has really become something fantastic.”
