RAILROAD CROSSING REPLACEMENT PROJECT HAS BEGUN

RAILROAD CROSSING REPLACEMENT PROJECT HAS BEGUN

Norfolk Southern has begun a railroad crossing replacement project that will affect traffic flow with temporary closings at the following crossings within the Oxford Fire Department jurisdiction: DeArmanville Road, Kelly Lynn Road, DeArmanville Drive, Chevron Road, Coleman Road, Hillyer Robinson, Pace Street, and Moore Street.

Once work begins on a crossing, it will be closed for 1-2 days with the intention of having them reopen within 48 hours of closing.

The project started work at Edwardsville Road in Heflin, and will be advancing approximately one mile per day with work being done in tandem. Exact days of closure will be determined by the speed of the completion of each crossing.

Please prepare, and be aware, of these planned closures and use slower speeds when approaching these crossings.
