Music City Bagels officially cut the ribbon on its new Oxford location at 101 Hamric Drive with a special ceremony on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

The new location serves its “baked from scratch” bagels, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, a full line of coffees and expressos, and new desserts. Also offered are online ordering, drive-through service, and an outdoor/pet-friendly patio.

Owner Aldo Stassi, who once lived in Nashville, has created a space for diners that includes classic country albums, a working jukebox, and a classic Cadillac seat - perfect for pictures.

Stassi moved to Calhoun County in 2021 and opened Music City Bagels in its previous location, bringing family recipes from his native Italy.

Mayor Alton Craft spoke of Stassi’s perseverance in getting the new location opened for business.

“Stassi is a fantastic guy,” Craft said. “He came in and started telling me what he wanted to do. It seemed like for a long time, everything kept hitting him in the face and stopping him. But he just kept on and got it done. We’re proud he’s in Oxford and know he will be successful.”

“We are thankful for you trusting in us,” said Council President Chris Spurlin.

“If you haven’t gotten to know Aldo, get to know him,” said Cunty Commissioner Danny Shears. “He’s a great guy. He’s one of us now in our community. We appreciate the investment you are making here, and you’ll find Oxford people are great people.”

Shea Snider Miller, representing U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, presented Stassi with a special memento on behalf of Rogers.

An emotional Stassi was left with only a few words to express his appreciation for the large turnout and the support of the city of Oxford.

“This city is wonderful,” Stassi said.

Stassi has previously said he wants to be an active and contributing part of the community.

Music City Bagels is open Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
