SPARK BY HILTON ADDS NEW LOOK TO OXFORD HOTEL SCENE

The hotel at 88 Colonial Drive has been reimagined and renovated and is now open for business as the new Spark by Hilton. It is ready to provide a friendly and comfortable welcome to Oxford’s visitors.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday, March 6, 2025, hosted by the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce.

Spark by Hilton is conveniently located near shopping and dining venues, Choccolocco Park, and the Anniston Army Depot and provides for its guests a complimentary breakfast with a loaded bagel bar, a fitness center, a sundry shop, laundry service, streaming entertainment, pet-friendly rooms, and a new courtyard area.

“I’ve been in the Oxford area since 1995, and look forward to being a part of this city for a very long time,” said owner Milan Patel. “We appreciate all this city has done and everyone here is like family.”

General Manager Ric Roxlee has been at the location for more than a decade and has overseen the transition to the new brand.

“It’s taken several months, but you can see all our rooms are new and we are excited to now be part of the Hilton brand,” Roxlee said.

Mayor Alton Craft expressed his appreciation for Patel’s “reinvestment” into the city.

“We appreciate Milan bringing his businesses to Oxford,” Craft said. “He has been great to work with and I know this will be a great success.”
