CITY OF OXFORD STORM SHELTERS NOW OPEN

OXFORD, AL — Due to the issuance of a Tornado Watch by the National Weather Service, and the
maximum high ranking potential for dangerous weather, the storm shelters and safter place for the city of Oxford are now open. The locations are as follows:

Storm Shelter Locations:

Oxford Health Systems Paramedics Bynum Station
Storm Shelter located outside and behind the building
2011 Bynum Boulevard, Eastaboga, AL 36260

Oxford Fire Department Station #5
Storm Shelter located outside and to the right of the building
52 DeArmanville Road, Oxford, AL 36203

Friendship Community Center
Storm Shelter located outside and in front of the building
2930 Friendship Road, Oxford, AL 36203

Oxford Fire Department Training Facility
Storm Shelter located outside and in front of the building
71 Public Works Drive, Oxford, AL 36203

Safer Place Location:
Oxford Performing Arts Center – Studio on the lower level
Entrance on the East side of the building
100 Choccolocco Street, Oxford AL 36203

 

Due to the potentially dangerous nature of the storms, pets will be allowed if they are enclosed in
a crate or kennel.

It is strongly advised to make sure your family has fully charged communication devices (such as
storm alert, phone, radio) available to receive all significant weather warning events as
circumstances can 
change very quickly.
