Recognition of 2025 Student Government Day participants from Oxford High School.

Public Hearing – to receive comments on the condemnation notice sent to Albert and Lou Blair Estate, c/o Herbert Blair for a structure located at 1106 Taylor’s Chapel Road to show cause, if any, as to why the structure located on the property should not be condemned.

Resolution No. 2025 – 22 – Resolution condemning the structure located at 1106 Taylor’s Chapel Road. (Passed 5-0)

Resolution No. 2025- 23 – Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an equipment and service agreement with SNOWMAGIC for a 50Ton ICS Snowmaking Unit and associated services for Festival of Lights. (Passed 4-1)

CONSENT AGENDA: (Passed 5-0)

Resolution No. 2025- 24 – Resolution reappointing Jerry York to the Highland Health Systems Board.

Resolution No. 2025- 25 – Resolution reappointing Alex Davenport to the Oxford Board of Education.

Resolution No. 2025- 26 – Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Construction Engineering Agreement with Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC for an extension to an existing industrial access road off McIntosh Road.

Resolution No. 2025- 27 – Resolution confirming the authorization of the Mayor to enter into an administrative contract with the East Alabama Regional Planning Commission for technical and professional services.

Set Public Hearings for May 13, 2025, to consider the following requests which were considered by the Oxford Planning Commission: Zoning request from the City of Oxford to rezone property located at 0 Indian Street (PIN68015) from Residential 1 District (R-1) to Institutional District (INST); Zoning request from the City of Oxford to rezone property located at 0 W. Oak Street (PIN68636) from Residential 1 District (R-1) to Institutional District (INST); Zoning request from the City of Oxford to rezone property located at 204 Ross Street and 0 Indian Street  from Residential 1 District (R-1) to Institutional District (INST); Zoning request from the City of Oxford to rezone property located at 210 McPherson Street and 0 Indian Street  from Residential 1 District (R-1) to Institutional District (INST); and Zoning request from the City of Oxford to rezone property located at 226 Ross Street from Residential 1 District (R-1) to Institutional District (INST).
